What Does "OG" Mean in a Username?

"OG" stands for "original." In the username-trading world it's shorthand for "this handle was claimed early, back when short/clean names were still available to register" — not an official title or badge from the platform itself.

It's a community term, not a platform feature

No platform labels an account "OG" anywhere in its UI. The term comes entirely from the buying/selling community as a way to signal "this one's early and can't be recreated," as opposed to a name someone typed into the signup box yesterday.

OG vs "aged"

"Aged" usually just means the account is old — it doesn't say anything about the username itself. A 10-year-old account with a long, generic username isn't OG. A 6-month-old account holding a 3-letter handle it inherited or won early in a fresh platform launch can be. OG is about the name, not the account's age.
